Romanian Model Ioana Spangenberg Shows Incredible 20-inch Waist [Video]

A model claims she eats three times a day, including fatty foods such as crisps, pizza and kebas.

According to the Sun, Ioana Spangenberg measures in at 5ft 6 inches tall, weighing six stone.

“No one seems to believe it, but every day I eat three big meals and I snack on chocolate and crisps all the time,” says Spangenberg. “I just have a small stomach. It’s a bit like a gastric band, if I eat too much I feel sick.”

Ioana weighed more than seven pounds when borned. The model also reveals, that she remembers herself skinny since being a teenager. She said: “When I was 13 my waist was around 15 inches. Someone could put their hands around it, their fingers would touch and they would still have extra room.” Even in her 20s she struggled with her self-esteem.

She added: “In Romania it is better to be overweight, because that means you are from a wealthy family. So while my friends were going out and dating, I was sitting at home with Mars bars wishing I could fatten up.”

In 2006 the woman met a German holidaymaker Jan. before getting married they have been dating for eight months: “Jan was the first person who saw me as beautiful and encouraged me to celebrate my body. He asked me to pose in some photos for him. He was so impressed he put them online and the response was amazing.“

Spangenberg added, “I would still like to gain weight so I don’t look so shocking — and now that I live in Germany I can’t get enough pizza or kebabs. But I’m finally comfortable in my own skin.”

However, Ioana Spangenberg is not the first model who shocked the world with her incredibly thin waist. Ethel Granger was also known for having the smallest waist ever, with 33 cm only.

“Before her marriage Ethel was a plain, unsophisticated twenty-three year old girl who wore the shapeless 1920s dresses that William despised. […] One epochal day, when William put his arm around Ethel’s waist she asked “darling, can you feel any difference?” Vogue says.

As Soda Head says, William Arnold Granger requested that wear corsets and more figure-flattering garments.

He said, “If she can outshine other members of her sex in some way, this is a victory worth any amount of suffering.”

So, Mr Granger convinced his wife to wear corsets every day, and while sleeping. With the course of time, the woman’s waist from 24-inches transformed to the insanely tiny size of  13 inches—the smallest waist ever recorded by The Guinness Book of Records.

William referred not only to the efforts necessary to shrink one’s waist, but also to the hardships of high heels and piercings, both equally fundamental in his symbolist vision of fashion and femininity.

The woman has inspired Vogue Italia cover. It caused many talk and issues. There were ones who adored and like the woman’s figure, but the majority simply refused to accept, that it was just possible.

“Her waist has been photoshopped into another dimension,” said one Internet user. “Did you all check out her waist???” asked another one. “I have bracelets larger than that corset girdle thing.”
