Unflattering videos of Ashton Kutcher fist-pumping in Brazil while ex-wife Demi Moore, 49, was hospitalized may have told another story, but everybody relax: the “Two and a Half Men” star has finally paid a visit to Demi’s house.
Photo agency X17online reports that Kutcher, 33, swung by his estranged wife’s Benedict Canyon residence at around 4:30p.m. Wednesday and posted photos of the slick black Lexus that Kutcher was allegedly driving as proof.
“This has been a very hard time for Ashton. He loves Demi very much, and he feels absolutely helpless right now,” the unnamed source said, reports the NY Daily News.
The source continued: “Ashton and Demi have been praying together at her house, and he mainly just wants to provide comfort to her right now.”
“This absolutely isn’t reconciliation, but there is still a lot of love there and he would never turn his back on her. It’s just not who Ashton is.”
Kutcher swung by just hours after ex-husband the “Die Hard” star, 56, who reportedly encouraged Moore to get help pre-hospitalization, was also photographed driving up to Moore’s estate.
However, it’s not clear if it was for a house call or a visit with Rumer Willis, 23, the daughter Bruce Willis shares with Moore.
Either way, Mr Willis, reportedly paid a similar visit late last year to ask Moore, 49, to get help for her worsening health, People magazine reported.
“He was worried about her and wanted her to get better,” a source told People. “Many of her friends did the same thing, but she just wouldn’t listen.”
Willis has two other daughters with Demi — Tallulah, 18, and Scout, 20, now a student at Brown University in Rhode Island.
It is reported that Moore is currently undergoing “spiritual counseling.” Like her, Kutcher sought advice on how to handle the incident from a Beverly Hills Kabbalah Center upon returning to the U.S., RadarOnline claims.
Details of the call her friends made to the emergency services revealed the star had ‘smoked something’ and was suffering from ‘convulsions’.
“We need an ambulance here as soon as possible,” a woman told the operator. “She smoked something. It’s not marijuana but it’s similar to incense and she seems to be having convulsions of some sort.”
Moore is believed to be seeking treatment for anorexia and substance abuse after her weight noticeably plunged following her split from Kutcher in November, amid claims that her younger husband had been cheating on her.
Earlier this week, the actress’s close friend Patty Jenkins said Moore was bouncing back after her hospital drama. The director said: “I just saw her and she’s doing great.”
“I think she’s doing much better than it’s made out to be. Demi is awesome and so strong. I hate when people make it a bigger drama than what is going on.”
At the time of Moore’s hospitalization last month, Kutcher was modeling alongside Alessandra Ambrosio and partying it up in Brazil. He has yet to comment on Moore’s health since he returned to L.A. last Thursday.
Moore reached a breaking point Jan. 23 when paramedics rushed her to a hospital following a seizure tied to substance abuse at her home.
The episode coincided with months of extreme weight loss and reports that Moore was mixing Red Bulls and prescription pills while partying with a much younger set to remain the hallmark of age-defying beauty in Hollywood.
Moore announced her split with Kutcher, 33, in November after reports that the “Two and a Half Men” star cheated on their wedding anniversary.
Reps for Willis and Kutcher did not immediately respond to requests seeking comment. According to Radar, Kutcher is not urging Moore to seek extended rehab for substance abuse.
“Ashton has had loved ones in his life that have dealt with addiction issues, and he realizes that it’s counterproductive for someone to be forced to go to rehab,” the source told Radar.
“Ashton knows the addict has to want to get help for themselves. There is a lot of noise around Demi right now, and Ashton wants her to know he is there for her, and supports her, no matter what.”
