Mila Kunis Attends Marine Corps Ball in Greenville, North Carolina [Video]

Mila Kunis joined the rank of celebrities attending military balls in recent time, like Justin Timberlake and Kristen Cavallari.

Friday night The Black Swan star attended Marine Corps Ball in a small town Greenville, North Carolina, after accepting a YouTube invitation.

In the video Moore, a sergeant of the 3rd Battalion 2nd Marines in Musa Qala, Afghanistan, said: “Hey Mila, it’s Sgt. Moore, but you can call me Scotty. I just want to take a moment out of my day to invite you to the Marine Corps Ball with yours truly. Take a second to think about it and get back to me. All right, bye now.”

Kunis arrive in Greenville to accompany Sgt. Scott Moore, who recently returned from a seven-month stint in Afghanistan, to the event so she has kept a promise she made months ago.

The local television station WNCT reported that the actress was quickly greeted by her date as she walked into the North Carolina Convention Center.

Despite the fact that press was not allowed inside the event, Marine spokesman Sgt. Scott Sasser said the couple had had a good time and “it’s good that [Kunis] got to come on a date with a Marine.”

“It’s a huge honor just to be invited, it is,” Kunis says lately, confirming she is going to attend the event. She also added she was looking forward to “talking to people and hearing their stories … Being a part of something that truly I know nothing about but I’m incredibly eager to learn.”

“She’s going to get a chance to learn about the Marine Corps and were all going to have a great time celebrating the Marine Corps birthday,”Captain Scott Sasser said.

Speaking about the significance of the event, Sasser added: “They’re celebrating all of our Marine Corps history as well as the accomplishments and sacrifices they make while overseas and celebrating the lives of the fallen marines and sailors they lost while they were over there.”

Moore’s unusual invitation caused a wave of service members to invite celebrities to attend Marine Corps Balls around the country.

Justin Timberlake was the second celebrity who received an invitation after Kunis. As a result, singer accompanied Cpl. Kelsey De Santis to her Marine Corps ball last weekend in Richmond, Virginia. Justin described his experience as the “most moving evenings I’ve ever had.”

Timberlake wrote about the “moving” night with De Santis: “Thank you Corporal Kelsey DeSantis. Thank you for inviting me. And, thank you for being my hero,” he wrote.

His date, De Santis, speaking about the great night, said her superstar date was a perfect gentleman.

”[I was surprised by] how genuine of a person he seems to be. He seems very selfless to me, so it was nice having him there. It was kind of like having one of our good friend’s at the table,” said on Tuesday. “He asked me a lot of questions about what I do and about me, which was really, really nice.”
