The Duchess of Cambridge is six weeks pregnant with her first child with Prince William, In Touch Weekly reports on its website, citing ‘royal sources.’
It’s hard to imagine the slender Kate Middleton with a baby bump, but the Princess caused pregnancy rumors Wednesday after her polite refusing to taste peanut paste, which deprecated for future moms, during a royal appearance in Denmark.
Last week, visiting a UNICEF distribution center in Copenhagen, Kate was noticed patting and rubbing her midsection, which was covered by a chic red coat cinched at the waist.
“It was very odd,” an onlooker at the UNICEF event said. “Kate would not stop touching her tummy – it was very noticeable. She continually patted it and held her hands against it. She must have been doing it without realizing, and at one point she had both her hands cradling her stomach.”
“I think we’ll take it one step in the time,” William said in November. “We’ll sort of get over the marriage thing first, then look at the kids. But obviously, we want a family.”
While William was thinking of becoming a dad, his own father had another opinion to this point. “What’s the point of having a baby, when the world is about to burn up. We must all stop using fossil fuels, we must kill all the cows, and we must plant as many trees as possible,” he said.
The “source” also said that the royal couple is now considering names for either a boy or a girl, although the pair has its fingers crossed for a daughter, especially William.
“He’s very much his mother’s son, and he also knows that his father, Prince Charles, would like a granddaughter,” the source revealed. As for Kate? “She’s happiest when William is happy,” although we know that she herself has expressed her desires for children.
“They want something traditional,” the source revealed. “Edward, Philip and Michael are likely choices for a boy, or Alice or Rose for a girl.”
As for William, report says, “He’s very much his mother’s son, and he also knows that his father, Prince Charles, would like a granddaughter.”
Queen Elizabeth II has supposedly been dropping hints about wanting a great-grandchild – and an heir to the throne. Now she’s supposed to be glad.
Despite Kate early in the first trimester, they have already started planning with nurseries in each of their three residences: in Nottingham Cottage, where the royal couple has been staying; one in the home in Wales; and one at Kensington Palace in London, according to the resource.
“We never confirm or deny these rumors. This is about the millionth [pregnancy] report we’ve had. If it were true, you’d hear the announcement from us and not a gossip magazine in the U.S.,” Miguel Head, an official palace spokesman for Middleton, said.
Whether or not the rumor is true, the couple is still preparing for a six-week separation next year when Prince William is sent to the Falkland Islands as a search and rescue pilot in the Royal Air Force. [Via Huff Post, NY Daily News and The Vancouver Sun]
