The “The Starship Troopers” actress, who was married to Charlie Sheen from 2002 to 2006, announced having daughters has made her regret her decision to get implants.
Denis has two daughters, Sam, 7, and Lola, 7, with ex-husband Charlie Sheen, and she has recently adopted a baby girl called Eloise.
“I often times feel like a hypocrite with my daughters when trying to teach them to have a healthy view on beauty and body image. I’m in a business where looks and weight do matter. When I exercise I never say I work out to stay thin – I always use the words healthy and strong,” the actress wrote on her blog on iVillage.com.
She continued: “I don’t obsess about wearing makeup when I leave the house or looking a certain way. I often look frumpy in paparazzi shots because I may just throw myself together going to the park and soccer games.”
Richards, 40, has also talked about her decision to get implants before. In 2009, she said, “I was 19 and my roommate had the best boobs ever, and she had just had hers done. I was flat as a board, and I thought ‘Whoa, you can just buy them’ and stupidly had them done … They look way too big for my body.”
Denis Richards advises not to undergo under the surgery without having thought about it at least 100 times. A year ago former Bond girl shared her secrets with Us Weekly Magazine.
“When I was 19, a doctor put in bigger implants than what I asked for. I was in such a hurry to get them that I didn’t research my doctor,” Richards told the magazine.
“I just thought because they’re a plastic surgeon, they must be good. You have to be your advocate for your own body and ask 100 questions.”
Today there are a few celebrities who are not afraid to speak about plastic surgery. Together with Denise Richards, 24-year-old “Glee” star Heather Morris told Fitness Magazine, “Implants were something I thought I wanted when I was younger, and now I don’t. It was hard being active with them, because my chest was always sore. It hurt a lot, and I didn’t like always being in pain, so they had to go!”
It was also announced, Tori Spelling, actress, 38, told “Good Morning America” this summer that getting breast implants is one of her biggest regrets.
Denise was worrying about her breast for quite a long time but, finally, she naked it for the shot for Playboy in 2004. Why? She said that she wanted to demonstrate women that there’s nothing awful to show sexuality even after you’ve become a mother.
She added that during that time she had some problems with Sheen and didn’t feel sexy so she needed to prove something.
