Retro Roadster BMW 328 Hommage by Adrian van Hooydonk [Big Picture]

Prior to the Concorso d’Eleganza at Villa d’Este this weekend, BMW revealed something called the 328 Hommage which, like the M1 Hommage from a couple years back, is a retro-futuristic look at BMW’s storied history.

To celebrate 75 years since the launch of the famous BMW 328, head of design Adrian van Hooydonk at the Villa d’Este has 328 BMW Hommage concept, design an exercise born of passion for motor sport.

BMW 328 car remained in history as a reference model of the interwar period, were included in the top 25 most important cars of the twentieth century. Also, its success is closely linked to the record achieved in 1940 Mille Miglia race.

In the 75 years since the birth of the true legends, especially for fans of BMW, the Bavarian manufacturer’s design department has prepared for this year’s Villa d’Este has 328 BMW Hommage concept, a car described as a dedication Adrian van Hooydonk for 328 of the original creators.

The car is a purist roadster with two seats and no doors, the recent concept model BMW Connected Drive Vision, Geneva 2011.
