Nicole Scherzinger and 50 Cent have teamed up for a new hot track called “Right There.” The pair collaborated on the former Pussycat Doll’s latest single, which is set to be released on June 5.
The video – which was directed by Paul Hunter, who has worked with Eminem, Michael Jackson and Christina Aguilera – features the former ‘Dancing with the Stars’ champ looking sexy in a cropped top and blue trousers, while the ‘In Da Club’ rapper is looking smooth in his aviators and sideways baseball cap.
Nicole, who also wears knee-high boots and has her hair braided in part of the video – previously said she didn’t want the final outcome to appear too complicated, but still effective. She told ‘MTV’: “I wanted to kinda keep the video pretty simple because I wanted it iconic.”
“The way you get iconic pictures and memorable videos is just by keeping it simple. So we’re in downtown L.A., and we’re just wearing super-fly colours, and we’re just feeling it,” Nicole added.
And the ‘Many Men’ hip-hop star – who has starred in a number of movies including “Get Rich or Die Tryin”, “Entourage” and “Before I Self Destruct” – recently joked to the news channel that he was keen to do a video to get closer to Nicole, whose boyfriend is Formula 1 racer Lewis Hamilton.
50 Cent, whose real name is Curtis Jackson, quipped: “Well, I was really wanting to date her. They played the song, and I said, ‘OK, I’ll do it. Maybe I’ll get a chance to do the video and be next to her and see what happens!'”
But Nicole recently revealed how she finds it difficult being apart from Lewis all the time, suggesting she feels bad for not attending his races to support him because she’s always promoting her new album. She told ‘Glamour’ magazine: “As much as I support Lewis, he sees other drivers’ girls with them the whole time.”
Aside from her new track, there’s a rumor going around that Nicole might be on another competitive reality show. A number of news outlets are reporting that the sexy pop star is in line to be a judge on Simon Cowell‘s new show X-Factor.
32-year-old singer already has some experience with the show, as she judged on the British version last year. Other rumored celebs to be in talks to appear on X-Factor include Paula Abdul, Mariah Carey and Cheryl Cole.
Nicole’s ‘Right There’ single is set to appear on the singer’s first ever solo studio album ‘Killer Love’, which was released earlier this year and includes her popular single “Don’t Hold Your Breath.” [via Daily Mail (UK) and Celebuzz]
