Driverless Tractor Terrorizes Walmart Parking Lot [Video]

A driverless tractor running loose in a Walmart parking lot, wreaking exactly the type of havoc you’d expect.

Watch what happens when a powerful John Deere tractor is on the loose, running rampant in a Walmart parking lot in Richmond Hill, Ontario, Canada.

We have no explanation as to how or why this tractor ended up doing laps and destroying cars in a Walmart parking, but that certainly doesn’t make watching it happen any less amusing.

In this YouTube video made by a couple, who were returning from the car wash, there’s also no information about who was responsible for the beginning of this bizarre, circuitous journey.

“The tractor in question wasn’t just your regular, run-of-the-mill lawn tractor, either,” wrote AutoBlog’s Aaron Richardson. “No, the phantom tractor was a four-wheel-drive Deere equipped with enough snowplow to clear Vail in January.”

He continued: “The tractor spent five minutes jogging circles around the parking lot, gouging the side of the Walmart and annihilating an unsuspecting Suzuki SX4 and Toyota Corolla while slackjawed onlookers stood by doing nothing and area police literally drove in circles.”

“We’re just wondering why it took so long for someone to consider jumping up on the tractor’s running board, opening its door, and turning off its ignition — until it had already done major damage,” said Mashable’s Charlie White.

“The tractor wasn’t going very fast, but maybe no one wanted to be a hero, risking life and limb. We were impressed by how powerful that tractor was, and wonder what this video would have looked like if the parking lot had been full,” he added.

Dear readers, would you be brave enough to try to stop the tractor if you were there? Tell us your thoughts in the comments below. [via Mashable and AutoBlog]
