Lady Gaga Gives Birth In New Music Video for ‘Born This Way’ [Video]

After weeks of anticipation, Lady Gaga premiered her new music video for the single “Born This Way,” on VEVO Monday morning.

Lady Gaga (real name: Stefani Germanotta) is known for her outrageous and over the top styling for her performances. But the singer has taken it to another level with her newly released music video for the single “Born This Way.”

In typical Gaga fashion, the 7:20 clip features the 24-year-old singer in a variety of outrageous looks – but for perhaps the first time, the costumes take a backseat to when Gaga gives birth to an unknown being, strips off to her underwear for a dance routine and gets dressed up as a skeleton in a suit.

The video begins with Gaga, floating in space and explaining via voiceover the premise of the story and its extra terrestrial location on G.O.A.T – A Government Owned Alien Territory. “This is the Manifesto of Mother Monster,” the New York native explains as the movie style music video opens with a two minute music less intro.

“As the wombs numbered and the mitosis of the future began, it was perceived that this infamous moment in life is not temporal, it is eternal. And thus began the beginning of the new race, a race within the race of humanity, a race which bears no prejudice, no judgment, but boundless freedom,” Gaga says.

“But on that same day, as the eternal mother hovered in the multiverse, another more terrifying birth took place: the birth of evil,” she continues as the video shows her in blackness and then shooting a machine gun.

“And as she herself split into two, rotating in agony between two ultimate forces, the pendulum of choice began its dance, “Gaga says. “It seems easy, you imagine, to gravitate instantly and unwaveringly towards good. But she wondered, how can I protect soothing so perfect without evil?”

The music then begins and you see an astonishingly fit and tanned Gaga wearing just underwear as she walks through a group of dancers. The singer also has prosthetic ridges on her cheeks and forehead which make her look unusual but striking when paired with her long blonde hair and dramatic smoky eye make up.

The video was choreographed by Laurie Ann Gibson and directed by Nick Knight, an award winning fashion and advertising photographer. Are you impressed with Lady Gaga’s new video? Tell us in the comments below. [via US Magazine]
