Miss World 2010Alexandria Mills is the first woman from the United States to ever win the title, but not the first to be caught up in a nude photo scandal, reports RadarOnline.com
The 18-year-old took a nude photograph of herself over the summer – taken in what appears to be her bathroom – and sent it to her boyfriend at that time. The website has seen and verified the authenticity of the photo.
The Kentucky-born model took the crown at the 60th annual Miss World competition in Sanya, China on October 30, beating out 115 other competitors.
According to her Miss World biography, Miller describes herself as a “positive, spontaneous, open-minded and outgoing person” and says she has “never met a stranger and enjoys meeting new people.”
“The best things in life are worth waiting for, fighting for, believing in, and just never letting go of,” her biography states as her personal motto. “I intend to travel the world and pursue a career in landscape and architectural photography.”
Miller is listed as a model with the Miami branch of Elite Model Management, described at 5’9” with blonde hair, blue eyes and a petite size 2.
Alexandria Mills is the latest in a growing list of attractive celebrities to have private pics catch the public’s eye. In 2009, Miss California USA Carrie Prejean sued pageant organizers for religious discrimination.
But, according to NBC, the legal battle imploded when pageant organizers uncovered a sex tape featuring the religiously devout beauty queen.
That same year, Ashley Greene, the fresh-faced actress who played Alice Cullen in the box-office hit “Twilight,” went on the offensive when nude photos of the 22-year-old surfaced on the web.
Greene’s lawyer confirmed the authenticity of the shots but threatened to sue anyone who published them, claiming displaying them was unlawful.
So what’s keeping Radar Online from publishing Mills’ naked pictures? She won the Miss World 2010 title when she was 18 years old. If the photos are authentic, they may have been taken while she was a minor.
If that’s the case, publishing the pictures is illegal. That’s just our guess. But even if they are not published, Alexandria may lose her Miss Word 2010 title. [via Radar Online]
