Job hunting is tough right now, but absolutely not impossible. A lot of people are finding jobs on Monster.com every day, despite a challenging job market.
If you don’t know yet, Monster.com, the premier global online employment solution for more than a decade, strives to inspire people to improve their lives.
With a local presence in key markets in North America, Europe, and Asia, Monster Worldwide Inc. works for Me & You by connecting employers with quality job seekers at all levels and by providing personalized career advice to consumers globally.
The key to finding and keeping work in tough times is the same as in good times – action. The more positive action you take, the better your chances of landing a great gig. But that’s not what we want to tell you this time.
On September 15th, Monster Worldwide Inc. announced the launch of a multimedia campaign spotlighting the fact that even in a challenging economy people are still finding great jobs on their website.
Monster Inc.’s webpage of ‘success stories’ (check www.success.monster.com) is an effort to encourage hope and optimism through the sharing of successful job-search related videos and practical advices.
“There’s a misperception that job seekers are sacrificing the opportunity to pursue a career that leverages their passion and skills as a result of a challenging job market,” said Ted Gilvar, global chief marketing officer of Monster.com. “Success Stories demonstrates that our precision matching technology innovation is helping people find their calling.”
One of the most inspirational stories is the one about Greg Drevenstedt, now road test editor for Rider Magazine. He found his dream job on Monster.com on the very first day of his job search.
And now Greg travels across the world testing and evaluating new motorcycles and gear, while writing stories and shooting video about his experiences. A video of Greg’s story is posted on the website to motivate and encourage others to share their own stories.
The site also includes video profile of Alexis Tirado, now the head blogger for Alicia Keys’ new website – IAmASuperWoman.com. According to Alicia Keys, “Monster was a fantastic partner in helping us find Alexis, who will help us shape a smart, dynamic and fun new platform that will celebrate and champion the voices of women.”
Dan Blasini, for example, thanks to Monster.com found a job he’s passionate about working with injured soldiers coming back from war. He said: “Thanks to Monster.com, my life and my passion is having a positive outcome for so many people suffering from amputation loss. I love what I do and Monster.com gave me the tools to help me do what I love: helping others!”
