French Label Lingerie Dement Launches Magnetic Lingerie

French label Lingerie Dement has launched a range of lingerie that fastens with magnets, rather than the traditional hook and eye straps.

In a move that almost seems to have been made with future-Katherine Heigl romcom hijinks in mind, Parisian underwear designer Lingerie Dement recently introduced unmentionables held together with the power of magnets. Photo: Lingerie Dement

Ripping off clothes in a fit of passion always sounds hot—until you find your expensive, “somebody’s-going-to-see-these” underwear torn to unsalvageable shreds. To keep the heat up without sacrificing silk and lace, former costume designer and the Parisian mastermind behind Lingerie Dement Laetitia Schlumberger created rip-off bras, panties, bustiers, and ensembles perfect for getting busy in a hurry.

Lingerie Dement, a French company, is going to take the mystery out of clasps and hooks by creating underwear that can be removed by unsticking magnets. This may be every struggling lover’s dream, or airport securities nightmare!

Lingerie Dement has removed hook and clasps from a new line of sexy undergarments. The company boasts that they will have easy fastening and removal with light magnets. Click the magnets to hold it shut, lightly tug on the magnets to take it off. Yep, this is the ultimate in convenience.

What types of garments is Lingerie Dement adding these magic magnets to? How about their entire collection of bustiers, underpants, nuisettes, and bras? The magnets will be hidden under their lacy designs. The claim is that the magnets will do their job of staying attached, as long as they are left “undisturbed.”

So there you have it, tear away underwear, no velcro required. These could be convenient for everyday wear, though if you are too active, you may have trouble keeping the magnets attached. Then again, that may be what you are going after by wearing unmentionables held together with mere magnets. One wonders, will it catch on?

Tiny, almost invisible magnets hold the pieces in place, holding tight enough to ensure that there won't be any accidental panty-dropping in the office. But when the moment arrives, the well-placed connectors snap apart in one swift tear. Photo: Lingerie Dement

The designer claims that they were made with passion in mind, for women who really want to live out the fantasy of wild sex-having without the obnoxious taking off of the panties that normally precedes the act. Photo: Lingerie Dement
