After more than eight years together, longtime Hollywood couple Harrison Ford and Calista Flockhart have finally said “I do” in a ceremony at the governor’s mansion in the U.S. state of New Mexico, according to multiple tabloid reports.

Harrison Ford, 67, and Calista Flockhart, 45, got engaged on Valentine’s weekend last year after being together for several years.

The Hollywood duo swapped vows on Tuesday in Sante Fe, New Mexico, after eight years of dating, in a wedding presided over by New Mexico’s governor, a rep for Flockhart confirmed to Us Weekly.

Gov. Bill Richardson confirmed to People Magazine on Wednesday that Ford and the “Ally McBeal” star Flockhart were married at the governor’s mansion in Santa Fe.

According to the source, the wedding was performed by Gov. Richardson under the legal supervision of New Mexico’s Chief Justice, Charles W. Daniels, who officially declared the couple legally wed.

Gov. Richardson and his wife, Barbara, who are friends of the couple, were witnesses for the bride and groom, reports the celebrity magazine’s website. The governor and his staff were tightlipped about details of the ceremony, saying it was “a private matter.”

Known best to moviegoers as Han Solo in “Star Wars” or Indiana Jones, Ford’s career has spanned both acting and producing. In 1986, he was nominated for an Oscar for “Witness” and was named Harvard’s Hasty Pudding Man of the Year a decade later. He also won lifetime achievement honors from the American Film Institute in 2000 and the Cecil B. DeMille Award at the Golden Globes in 2002.

His most recent project is “Cowboys and Aliens,” a sci-fi thriller he is starring in with Daniel Craig and Olivia Wilde. Filming started in New Mexico this month.

This is the third marriage for Ford, who also has four older children, and the first trip down the aisle for Flockhart, who has an adopted son, Liam, 9.

Ford and Flockhart began dating after meeting at the Golden Globe awards in 2002. Ford was initially married to Mary Marquardt and has two sons — Benjamin and Willard — from his first marriage.

After splitting with his first wife, Ford married screenwriter Melissa Mathison and split after an expensive divorce settlement worth more than $100 million. With her too, Ford has two children — Malcolm and Georgia.

Flockhart has a long list of films including “Naked in New York,” “A mid-summer night’s dream,” and many TV serials to her credit. The “Brothers & Sisters” beauty is best known for playing the title character of ‘Ally McBeal’ from 1997 to 2002.

She became almost as well known for her painfully thin frame, with concerns that she was suffering from anorexia. Flockhart always denied she had an eating disorder and said she was naturally thin.

Ford, who played the famous Han Solo in the original “Star Wars” trilogy, is one of the most private actors of Hollywood, known to carefully guard his personal life from the public eye.

The couple divide their time between homes in Los Angeles and an 800-acre ranch in Jackson, Wyoming. Earlier this year the pair made headlines when Forbes magazine named them one of the top-earning couples in entertainment. [via People and NY Daily News]
