Megan Fox is set to break millions of fans’ hearts after getting engaged again., reports the new Us Magazine and People.com. The Jonah Hex star is set to wed former Beverly Hills 90210 star Brian Austin Green, whom she has been dating on and off since she was 18.
The 24-year-old, who watched the LA Lakers defeat the Boston Celtics at the Staples Centre with her fiancé last night, was first engaged to the actor in 2006 but it was called off last year. On-again beau Brian Austin Green popped the question to Fox, 24, June 1. “Yes, she is engaged,” her rep tells Us.
It was reported that Austin Green proposed to her during a recent holiday to Hawaii, but that the couple lost the 2-carat ring shortly after the proposal, sources tell Us Weekly.
“I saw her jumping up and down,” a witness tells Us Weekly of the beachside proposal at the Four Seasons Hualalai hotel on the Big Island in Hawaii. “Later, I saw a half dozen staff sifting through the sand.”
Alas, the 2-carat sparkler, which the pair picked out together from Excalibur jewelry store in Beverly Hills, remains MIA. “Security and maintenance staff spent a couple of hours looking for it,” another source tells Us Weekly. “No one found it.”
The announcement that they intend to tie the knot comes one week after Fox purchased a $2.9 million house in the Los Angeles suburb of Los Feliz for them both. Fox and Austin Green appeared together in an online video protesting against California school budget cuts earlier this year. Fox rose to fame through her role on Transformers. Her new film”Jonah Hex opens in the US this week.
Austin Green has a son, Kassius, 8, from his former relationship with Beverly Hills 90210 co-star Vanessa Marcil. Fox recently spoke about their relationship to the US media. “I’ve been in this relationship for so long and I love [Brian] so much and of course [marriage is] in the future somewhere,” she told Access Hollywood. “I’m not closed to that idea.”
She added: “I just think, if you’re going to [get married,] if you’re going to be with someone and make a commitment, it’s good to tell the universe, to say I’m committing to this person and making them my family.” [via US Magazine and People]
