Pop star Enrique Iglesias is back with a brand new album in 2010. The Spanish singer will release his first bilingual album (English and Spanish) worldwide on July 6th.
“Cuando Me Enamoro” dropped on April 26 and is already available for purchase on iTunes. “I Like It” is the English version of “Cuando Me Enamoro”.
The song is a collaboration with Pitbull and even includes a cameo from none other than Lionel Richie, with whom Enrique joined forces once before for a track.
The leaked song, also available below, does not have the cameo from Richie yet, but it is believed it will be included for the radio version, which goes into heavy rotation today.
Enrique had the following to say about the process: “I can’t wait to finish making this album. It’s like nothing I’ve ever done before. It taps into so many different styles of music – it’s been really exciting for me to experiment and explore new territory.”
The singer said on his official website: “Hey guys! On Monday morning Ryan Seacrest will be premiering the new English single, “I Like It” on KissFm. And on Tuesday, Enrique will be on the Z100 Morning Show! More promo news to come shortly!”
Iglesias is finishing recording a new album which will be released on July 6 of 2010. It will be half in English and half in Spanish, and Iglesias wrote or co-wrote most of the material. It will include a new song with Wisin & Yandel. Another confirmed collaboration is with Juan Luis Guerra.
The album, produced with RedOne, Mark Taylor, and longtime collaborator Carlos Paucar, will feature 14 tracks. There will be two different singles, one in Spanish called “Cuando Me Enamoro” featuring Juan Luis Guerra, and other one in English.
In a press release that started to circulate a few days before the leak of the track, Enrique himself describes his upcoming album as the most eclectic to date, saying it will certainly surprise fans.
At the same time, he says the experience of tapping into so many different styles and sounds was truly an incredible one. Fans get a first taste of Enrique’s new material thanks to “I Like It,” which is bound to go straight to number 1 in dance charts, the source said.
