It’s not easy nowadays to come up with an Iceland’s volcano name (Eyjafjallajökull, Icelandic for “island-mountain glacier”) that forces people to sound like they’ve got something jammed down their throats, but someone’s gotta do it.
We’re, here at TheBlogIsMine, recent fans of The Oatmeal, a Matthew Inman’s website. In this case, he decided to take on the name of the volcano in Iceland. Matthew made an infographic making fun of how was the name of volcano created. Above are the results.
He wrote about this infographic: “Making my new book has taken a little longer than expected, but it’s almost finished. In the meantime, here’s a quickie comic about volcanoes.”
Matthew Inman aka “The Oatmeal,” a former web designer turned comic artist. You can see more of his work on The Oatmeal. Matthew’s “The Oatmeal” like mine “TheBlogIsMine” is a one man operation website, so be sure to check out posters and prints from his shop. [via TheOatmeal]
