Matthew McConaughey was a presenter at the 45th Annual American Country Music (ACM) Awards in Las Vegas Sunday night for the second year in a row, but he detoured before presenting Best Male Vocalist to talk about his sex life. He told the audience that last year’s award show festivities led to him and partner Camila Alves conceiving their second child.

He told the crowd: “After the show last year my lady and I – Camila – went back to the hotel and conceived the little lady – Vida Alves McConaughey – who is now our daughter. That’s a true story.”

The laughs continued with the actor promising that they would not be making another baby this year. “I promise you, me and Camila are going to try not to get so lucky this year. Two is enough,” he told the ACM audience. “We’re flush for a while.”

Last year, an overwhelmed Carrie Underwood referenced McConaughey in her “Entertainer of the Year” acceptance speech, joking that she wanted to see the actor’s boots. McConaughey didn’t forget this and asked Underwood to come on stage and get his boots.
