Nintendo 3DS Concept by Olivier Demangel

Two weeks ago Nintendo announced that it is working on a 3D portable gaming system and gave too little details on what the system will be all about. Two weeks ago Nintendo announced that it is working on a 3D portable gaming system and gave too little details on what the system will be all about. The company will have more information about the device at E3 in June, but until then game fans are forced to dream up what the system will look like.

Olivier Demangel is basically a 3D artist and his take on Nintendo is really awesome. According to his vision, the Nintendo 3DS gets a super-svelte screen that slips between the controls rather than over top of them, making for what looks to be a slimmer overall profile.

However, the most interesting part in Nintendo’s 3DS system is its glasses-free 3D action, and no number of renderings will ever give us an idea of just what exactly that will look like.

So, Dear Readers, what do you think? Do we need a Nintendo DS redesign or are you happy with what you have?  [via Yanko Design]
