Finally some solid information on the upcoming HP Slate. And it looks like HP has been given an internal HP Slate presentation comparing it to the Apple iPad, according to a slide obtained by Engadget (see it below). The base Slate will cost either $549 for the 32GB flash storage version or $599 version for the 64GB version.

The tablet will feature an 8.9-inch capacitive multitouch display with 1024 x 600 resolution and a 1.6 GHz Atom Z530 processor with UMA graphics and an accelerator for 1080p video. The tablet will get 1 GB of RAM and 32 gigs of flash.

Other features include two cameras (front-facing VGA and 3 MP rear), Wi-Fi b/g, GPS, USB port, SIM card slot for optional 3G modem, five-hour battery, SDHC slot and a dock for power, audio in/out and HDMI output. The included Windows 7 edition will be Home Premium. [via Engadget and PC Mag]
