Cananda prepares to host the 2010 Winter Olympics Games from 12 to 28 February, 2010 in Vancouver, with some events held in the resort town of Whistler and in Richmond, a Vancouver suburb. Both the Olympic and Paralympics Games are being organized by the Vancouver Organizing Committee (VANOC). The 2010 Winter Olympics will be the 3rd Olympics hosted by Canada. Previously, Canada was home to the 1976 Summer Olympics in Montreal, Quebec and the 1988 Winter Olympics in Calgary, Alberta. Trucks arrive at Cypress Mountain with shipments of snow. Due to warmer temperatures officials had to ship snow from Allison Pass, about 150km away.

Blind cross country skier Brian McKeever trains at the Canmore Nordic Centre in Alberta. He will represent Canada at the Vancouver games and will become the first athlete to compete in both a Winter Olympics and a Paralympics.
