InsideLine reports, that as the pending sale of Hummer to Chinese company Tengzhong Heavy Industrial Machinery Company winds down, GM intends to stop building Hummer H3s. The stoppage is only temporary and GM will reconvene production once the deal has been approved by Chinese regulators.

As reported earlier, part of the Hummer deal entails GM continuing to build Hummers at its Shreveport, LA plant through 2011, with a possible one-year extension after that.

Hummer has 2,100 vehicles in stock, which equates to enough for more than six months. [via InsideLine]
