The famous stunt driver Travis Pastrana set a new world record in long jump rally car from the mainland on barges in the water.
Pastrana set a record in his rally car Subaru STI Impreca at the port of Pine Avenue in Long Being in California in the new year’s Red Bull “No Limits” event. Pastrana was driving at a speed of 146 km/h, jumped a total of 82 meters, successfully landing on floating barges. Pastrana is also surpassed the former record (52m) for the entire 30 meters.
“I was pretty nervous the whole day, but when I sat in the car, I felt very calm. It was much funnier than any of my attempts during the preparation and when I landed, the wall of the stop is close very quickly “, said excited Pastrana after the jump. “I am happy that I didn’t finish in the water,”added Pastrana.
Pastrana was first performed a double twist back on the engine, stick out from the plane without a parachute and is now the official world recorder for the longest jump in a rally car. [via USDailySport]
