BMW Addes an M Version of the 1-Series

BMW has an M version of its 1-Series coupe in the works according to Autocar. M division chief Kay Segler confirmed the plans for the car when speaking with the magazine.

BMW has an M version of its 1-Series coupe in the works according to Autocar. M division chief Kay Segler confirmed the plans for the car when speaking with the magazine. Segler said: “With the modular production processes in place at BMW, it is possible to create performance cars that customers can not only dream about owning but also realistically afford.”

The M 1-Series will feature BMW’s new 3-liter turbocharged six-cylinder, tuned to output around 350hp. The car is expected in 2011. [via EgmCarTech]
