Yesterday, John Chow made the decision to clean out his Twitter following list and start over. He was following over 55,000 users. That had been reduced to less than 100 users. Why he unfollowed over 55,000 tweeters?! Because John thinks tht it’s impossible to follow 55,000 people. His Twitterfon app for his iPhone became unusable because it always crashed trying to download all the tweets. He ignored his main Twitter feed and just read the replies. Anyone who claims that can follow 55,000 users is either lying or spends more than 18 hours a day in front of Twitter to watch the tweets [via John Chow]
