Meiosis Turtle Shell Backpack 5

Haven’t grown out of your Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles backpack from childhood (Donatelo, Rafael, Michelangelo and Leonardo, do you remember them?!), but need something a little more mature? Straight from Shenkar College of engineering and design in Tel Aviv, Israel, here’s Davidi Galid’s “Meiosis Backpack”. Three dimensional polygons galore in a grid system that screams naturalistic and it’s maybe really safe on the inside.  While the backpack parts are in that state, the bag gets its exterior shape, and remains so due to geometric locks as a result of the shrink. The relationship between the parts enables the opening and closing of the backpack, and determines its design and unique shape. With the Meiosis backpack’s mesh shoulder straps and backing, along with its blue and turquoise tones. There’s no word on pricing or availability.
