With the 2009 Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione, they’re taking a strong step toward center stage with a serious statement against the other great Italian car makers. The new Alfa Romeo 8C has 4.7L V8 engine, should produce more than 500 horsepower – just in time to not upstage the Ferrari 458 Italia 562 hp. All that power will get neutralized by optional carbon-ceramic stoppers. If you’ve got $300k on hand, Alfa Romeo will listen to your interest, but expect some steep competition.
