A car tuning company G-Power (Germany) has unveiled its tuning package for the BMW X5 which is known as the G-Power Typhoon RS. At the exterior, the tuning BMW X5 comes with G-Power Typhoon front skirt with large air inlets to optimise the cooling of the engine and the front brakes, new rear skirt, G-Power wing extensions at the front and back axle, inner wing that extend the X5 by 7 cm, new rear diffuser, G-Power stainless steel dual tailpipes, side skirts with LEDs and four-part underbody cladding which costs € 12,185.
The BMW X5 stands on G-Power Silverstone “forged” aluminum wheels measuring at 11Jx23-inch at the front and 12Jx23-inch at the rear wrapped with Michelin 315/25 ZR 23 high-performance tires.
The X5’s 4.8-liter V8 engine is equipped with G-Power SK III RS supercharger to increase the power to 625 hp (460 kW) at 6,100 rpm from 270 hp (199 kW). The torque has also increase from 475 Nm to 700 Nm at 5,300 rpm. The supercharger was developed by G-Power in cooperation with ASA. The combination of the supercharged engine with the 6-speed automatic transmission and the xDrive 4WD helps the SUV to sprints from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.5 seconds, 200 km/h in 16.0 seconds with the top speed of 285 km/h.
Other performance features include two-part carbon intake air duct with large, aerodynamic transverse sections, a large-volume aluminum charge air cooling system in the front of the X5, a stainless steel G-POWER SPEEDFLOW high-performance exhaust that includes racing headers, racing catalysts and end mufflers, 8 new fuel injectors with a larger fuel mass capacity, a new ignition map for engine electronics and an additional re-cooling system for engine oil and cooling water and modified serial transmission.
Inside, the G-Power Typhoon RS BMW X5 features an ergonomically formed sport steering wheel, a speedometer in TYPHOON design and sporty aluminum accessories. Customers can also choose to have the interior equipment wrapped in leather and ultra-suede colors.
