While the Cadbury Wispa is a chocolate bar much celebrated in the western world, the Wispa Gold and its layer of caramel has always been a clear favorite. Discontinued despite its amazing success, the Wispa Gold has made its way back to the market after a successful Facebook campaign where 22,000 people “militated” to “Bring Back Cadbury’s Wispa Gold”. Wrapped in edible gold leaf and sheathed in a gold leaf wrapper, the special edition (55p) of the yummy chocolate will be delivered by none other than Tony Hadley, the singer with Spandau Ballet whose biggest hit was “Gold,” at Selfridges in London. Priced at £961.48 ($1,628) – the value of the bar’s weight in gold, the new Wispa Gold is he world’s most expensive chocolate bar. [via Metro]
