Alpina, an automobile manufacturing firm based in Germany selling cars based on BMW Models, has unveiled the Alpina B6 GT3 which is based on the BMW 6 Series which will make its debut at the 2009 Geneva Motor Show in March.
The Alpina B6 GT3 BMW 6 Series is a race car that participates in FIA GT3 European Championship which is also available for sale to the public.
The Alpina B6 GT3 is powered by a supercharged 4.4-liter V8 engine mated with a 6-speed sequential gearbox that produces 530 PS (390 kW) and 725 Nm of torque. The B6 GT3 accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.9 seconds with the top speed of 285 km/h at the Nordschleife. The Alpina B6 GT3 stands on 18-inch Michelin wheels and the car weight at 1,350 kg (2,976 lbs).
