But the concept car which Giugiaros engineers was made is something that it’s worth to see:
“When we saw the new Mustang, we agreed on two things: it’s the best model after the original and we have to get it”, said Fabrizio Giugiaro, style director at Italdesign – Giugiaro S.P.A. “We still think that it is important to show the world some style, which can interpret special models from the history and the image of the important brands.”
At the start of 2005, Giugiaro presented his idea to the vice president of Ford Motor Company, J. Mays. Here is the result: “Mustang by Giugiaro” a unique concept that has Ford technology, also launching the first presentation made by the Italian designer at the L.A. Motor Show.
This concept has an engine and a body improved by the Ford Racing team. Ford Racing improved the 4.6 liter V8 aluminum engine which developed 300 bhp. Now, the Mustang concept develops almost 500 bhp.
“Mustang by Giugiaro drives very good”, said Fabrizio Giugiaro. “After I pushed it to the limits on the street outside Torino, I can definitely say that this car deserved the 30.000 hours of work which I invested to create a performance clasic-modern.” This concept was presented in December 2006 at the International Auto Show in Los Angeles.

I have fallen in love with mustangs since I saw a 1970 Boss 302 cruising down the highway. I want a mustang so bad! This concept is a slick car but it may have a few disadvantages but if it was ever put on the road I would SO get one!!!!!!!! It looks a lot like a european car but I won’t hold that against it. Like I said before it’s a SLICK car!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It gets my 100% vote! I LOVE IT!
