Stile Bertone has unveiled the ultra high performance one-off Bertone Mantide (for more information, please visit www.insideprojectm.com). The Bertone Mantide has been designed and fully engineered in collaboration with Danisi Engineering which is based on the 2009 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1. The Mantide’s futuristic design was inspired from the modern aerospace and the world of Formula One.

The aerospace inspired design features low-slung nose, jet fighter style teardrop canopy and butterfly opening doors and numerous air inlets and exhaust for maximum efficiency. The Mantide has been fine-tuned in an advance full scale wind tunnel to reduce 25% (Cd 0.298) and a 30% improvement in down force thanks to the Le-Mans prototype-derived flat door and diffuser and a “flying buttresses”.

The weight meanwhile has been reduced by 100 kg with the help from the carbon fiber body panels, interior trim, seats and even the wheels. This ensure the Mantide to accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in 3.2 seconds with the top speed of 351 km/h (217 mph). The Bertone Mantide is equipped with an FIA regulation triangulated roll cage, lightweight carbon fiber racing seats and 4 points harness for track use.
